President Julian Duran

Julian is an active and dedicated student who contributes significantly to various school activities. He is a proud member of the school’s Academic Decathlon team, where his love for learning and critical thinking skills shine. Julian also participates in the school’s sports teams, showcasing his athleticism and teamwork. His passion for academics extends beyond the classroom, as he particularly enjoys math and delving into books about world history and religious history, broadening his understanding of the world and his faith. Outside of academics, Julian has a strong appreciation for physical activities and nature. He enjoys playing basketball, where he advances his skills on the court, and swimming, a sport that allows him to challenge himself physically. Julian also loves the ocean, snorkeling, and exploring tide pools. Julian’s well-rounded interests and enthusiasm for learning, sports, and nature make him an exceptional role model among his peers. His dedication to academics and extracurricular pursuits highlights his commitment to personal growth and his passion for exploring the world around him.

Vice President Derrick Campos

Derrick is an 8th-grade student at St. Dominic and has been part of the St. Dominic community since Kindergarten. He loves his school, his friends, and spending time with his brother and cousins. In his free time, Derrick enjoys drawing, collecting Pokémon cards, and occasionally playing the piano. Outside of school, Derrick enjoys playing basketball on travel teams. At St. Dominic, he especially loves being part of the basketball team with his best buddies, and he also enjoyed playing soccer with his friends on the school team. Academically, Derrick enjoys math, art, and ELA. He has consistently earned Honor Roll and Gold Seal recognition since 4th grade and was an active member of St. Dominic’s Academic Decathlon team in both 6th and 7th grade. He is also currently serving his second year on Student Council.

Treasurer Andrew Silang

Andrew serves as the student council treasurer, a role that reflects his dedication and leadership within the school community. Known for being hardworking and well-rounded, he takes his responsibilities seriously and consistently demonstrates a strong commitment to both academics and extracurricular activities. Outside of student government, Andrew is passionate about basketball and spends much of his time on the court after school. When he’s not playing sports, he enjoys unwinding with video games and occasionally strums his guitar in quiet moments – a musical talent he tends to keep private. His athleticism also extends to track and field, where he’s currently in his second year as a competitive decathlete. Balancing school, sports, music, and personal interests is something Andrew works hard to maintain. His ability to juggle multiple commitments while still finding time for relaxation speaks to his discipline and versatility. Whether he’s leading a meeting, shooting hoops, or quietly playing music, Andrew brings focus and heart to everything he does.

Spirit and Activities Director Elijah Arias

Elijah enjoys spending time outdoors, whether he is hiking, going to the beach, walking his dogs, or playing at the park. He is active in sports and plays both travel basketball and soccer. Elijah was selected for the All-Star team, and his soccer team also won a regional championship. His favorite professional teams are the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Lakers, and he hopes to become a professional athlete someday. At school, Elijah’s favorite subject is math. He has made Honor Roll every year and is also a member of the Academic Decathlon team. Outside of academics and sports, Elijah has recently developed an interest in cooking. He is also proud of his Colombian and Salvadorian heritage.

Girls Sports Liaison Ava Addenbrooke

Ava is the Student Council Publicity Director and has been part of the St. Dominic community since 3rd grade. She truly loves being at school – especially spending time with her friends and being involved in campus life. Ava is an active participant in basketball, volleyball, and cheerleading, and she has proudly maintained Honor Roll or Gold Seal status every year. She is also part of the Academic Decathlon this year, where she enjoys challenging herself academically while working as part of a team. Ava is incredibly creative and loves making jewelry, arts and crafts, and anything hands-on that allows her to express herself. She brings that same creativity and enthusiasm to her leadership role, always seeking fun, positive ways to represent her school community. In her free time, Ava enjoys baking and trying out new recipes, and she loves spending quality time with her family – especially watching and hanging out with her little cousins, whom she adores. Her kindness, school spirit, and dedication make her a wonderful role model and a valued member of the St. Dominic community.

Boys Sports Liaison Kamden Santiago Smith

Kamden is a sixth-grade student who loves being active, helping others, and experiencing new things. He has been traveling the world with his family since he was just four months old and has now visited more than 45 countries. One of his favorite activities while traveling is snorkeling and exploring new places and cultures. At school, Kamden is a consistent honor roll student and enjoys volunteering his time to support both St. Dominic School and the church community. Sports have also become a big part of Kamden’s life at St. Dominic. Since fourth grade, he has participated in both basketball and flag football every year, including this year as a sixth grader. His favorite sport is basketball, and he follows the NBA closely. He knows just about everything happening around the league, but his favorite team is the Golden State Warriors and his favorite player is Stephen Curry. His love of basketball even extends off the court, where he has built a huge collection of NBA trading cards. As Boys Sports Liaison, Kamden is excited to represent the students who participate in St. Dominic athletics and help make sports even more exciting and enjoyable for everyone. He understands how important teamwork, school spirit, participation, and supporting your teammates are, and he looks forward to helping bring that same energy to the Student Council.

Publicity Director Zoe Day

When you think of Zoe, you think of heart. Her passion for life, school, family, and friends is palpable. She wears her heart on her sleeve, effortlessly bringing people together. Zoe’s enthusiasm extends to her hobbies; she loves singing, creating art, playing basketball and volleyball, and cherishing time with friends. These activities are more than just pastimes for her; they are expressions of her vibrant spirit and zest for life. Zoe’s commitment to her academics is equally impressive. Since the 4th grade, she has consistently maintained a gold seal for her exceptional performance. Her dedication and work ethic are admirable, as she balances her academic responsibilities with her extracurricular interests and social life. This level of achievement speaks volumes about her discipline and determination, qualities that set her apart as a role model for her peers. This year marks Zoe’s first on the student council, a role she proudly embraces. Representing her peers, she aims to make the school year fun and successful. Her enthusiasm for leadership is evident, and she is eager to contribute positively to her school community. Zoe’s ability to balance her various commitments while excelling in each is a testament to her outstanding character and potential. We look forward to seeing all that she will accomplish.

AL Religious Affairs Angelica Lomibao

Angelica, who also goes by Angel, has a strong love for music. She enjoys listening to music, playing the guitar and ukulele, and singing. For Angel, music is not only a way to express emotion, but also a meaningful way to connect with and worship God. Angel also enjoys folding origami, especially cranes, which she appreciates as symbols of peace and loyalty. She values connecting with her fellow students and is always open to listening, offering support, or simply being there when someone needs someone to talk to. Faith is an important part of Angel’s life. She has a deep devotion to God and carries her faith with her throughout the day, whether through prayer or simply keeping Him in her thoughts during school.

EG Historian Eli Galsim

Technology Director Benjamin Benitez

Benji loves basketball and plays both at school during the season and year-round with his travel ball team. He also enjoys playing with his friends at his local park and riding his bicycle in his free time. Basketball is his favorite sport, and he loves staying active and being part of a team. At home, Benji enjoys spending time with his pet rabbit and relaxing with family and friends. Benji is an altar server for Sunday Masses at St. Dominic Church and takes pride in serving his parish community. St. Dominic is a big part of his family – both of his older brothers graduated from the school, and Benji is proud to follow in their footsteps. He enjoys being involved in school life and values the strong sense of community at St. Dominic. Academically, Benji enjoys his creative writing elective, where he likes expressing his ideas and imagination. He is looking forward to 7th grade and is excited to learn more and take on new challenges. Benji also hopes to join the Academic Decathlon next year as a way to grow academically while staying connected and involved with his school.

Advisor Mr. Horlacher

Mr. Horlacher serves as the Faculty Advisor for the St. Dominic School Student Council, providing outstanding leadership, guidance, and support to our student representatives. He is a wonderful role model for the students and encourages them to become confident leaders, work together, and take an active role in making St. Dominic an even stronger school community. Mr. Horlacher holds a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Southern California (USC) and a Bachelor of Arts in History from UCLA, bringing both experience and a passion for education to his role. Loved and respected by students throughout St. Dominic, Mr. Horlacher is known for his approachable personality and his open-door policy for both students and parents. He makes himself available to listen, offer guidance, and ensure that everyone feels supported and heard. His commitment to his students goes far beyond the classroom and is reflected in the positive relationships he has built throughout the school community. Outside of St. Dominic, Mr. Horlacher recently began another exciting role – being a new dad to a beautiful baby girl! We are fortunate to have his leadership, dedication, and enthusiasm guiding our Student Council during the 2026–2027 school year.
