Financial Aid
St. Dominic School believes that a Catholic education should be accessible for all students, regardless of a family's level of income. For families who qualify, we participate in the Catholic Education Foundation's tuition assistance program.
Deadlines are set by the Catholic Education Foundation each year, and applications are collected by the school. Call the school office at 323-255-5803 for this year's dates and forms.
CEF tuition assistance cycles
- 1 Cycle 1 — Special 8th Grade TAP Students currently receiving a TAP, SOS or O4E award who are in 8th grade. Applications come from your Catholic elementary school.
- 2 Cycle 2 — High School TAP Current 9th through 11th graders, and current 8th graders who are not receiving a CEF award. Appointments are made at the high school the student plans to attend.
- 3 Cycle 3 — Elementary TAP Students in Pre-K, TK, kindergarten and 1st through 8th grades attending Catholic elementary schools. The largest group of applicants — this is the cycle for most St. Dominic families.
FY2026 financial eligibility guidelines
A student from a household with a total income at or below the following levels is eligible to apply for a Tuition Assistance Award from CEF. Pick your household size to see the income levels.
- Mission 1 $46,644 annual gross income, at or below
- Mission 2 $57,720 annual gross income, at or below
- Mission 3 $80,235 annual gross income, at or below

For each additional person after 8, add $8,043 (Mission 1), $9,250 (Mission 2) or $10,637 (Mission 3).
CEF defines a household as all individuals living together in the same dwelling who share expenses for rent, utilities, food, clothing and other necessities.
